What Is EfD African Hub?

EfD African Hub is a regional platform dedicated to strengthening evidence-based policymaking on climate, environment, and sustainable development across Africa.

It coordinates collaborative research, policy engagement, and capacity development across a network of African research centres, connecting researchers, policymakers, and development partners to translate rigorous economic and scientific evidence into policy decisions.

The establishment of EfD African Hub represents a strategic initiative to enhance the coordination and effectiveness of environmental economics and natural resource management across Africa, serving as a centralised coordinating entity that aligns activities with continental priorities.

EfD African Hub seeks to strengthen collaboration with key continental and regional institutions, including the African Union, United Nations Economic Commission for Africa, and African Development Bank, contributing to Agenda 2063 and the Sustainable Development Goals.
